This super simple and delicious pizza crust is said to come from a famous pizzeria in New York City around 1950. The whole pie is simple and can be put together in about 10 minutes, depending on what you put on it.
Italian Crust Pizza
Use a simple recipe with some italian seasoning to get more our of the crust
- 1 cup water 110 degrees
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tbsp italian seasoning
- Disolve yeast, sugar, salt in olive oil in the water.
- Add flour and italian seasoning and mix until well blended.
- Knead dough until smooth and elastic. This will take about 8 minutes.
- Proof the dough for about 30 minutes to allow it to rise.
